My Sunflower


Today I decided I needed to paint something BESIDES furniture
I had a pretty good size canvas...20x20
SOOOOO
I decided to paint a bright sunny sunflower!
and here is:
SUNNY!!!
This is me..trying to do some thing called PAINTERLY..
what this means is trying not to be so anal retentive
and pick and pick and pick and try and make
it look like a photo.
I tried to use big brush strokes and let the eyes and the mind
do most of the work...
I  hope you can tell its a Sunflower...:)
I hope you like it!
