mellow yellow two tier table

This is a two tier table that I have had forever. I know in the pic the grain looks really cool but if I had gotten a better pic you would have seen all the huge  scratches and rings on the table from the kids leaving glasses on it. So I decided to liven her up a little.

Here she is getting her coat of primer.

Here she is getting a coat of paint with Rust-Oleums summer squash yellow.

When she was done I distressed her, and I really really liked it. But she needed a little more UMPH!! :)

So I went to Michaels and got one of the New Martha Stewart stencils.

I decided I wanted to go with gray. I really love the yellow gray combination.
Here is what the top looks like. I then dry brushed the left over gray paint around the little edge on the top and the bottom and gave her a coat of poly.

I just love how she turned out. I hope you have a BEAUTIFUL day.

  16. Lovely! I have one of those tables I picked up at a thrift shop. The top layer is off at the moment and this is as afar as I have gotten. Don't know what else I want to do with it. This post gives me ideas.
