VIntage Spectacle and Eye Glasses Graphic Desk.

I hope you guys have been enjoying your week. This will probably be the only post
this week from me since we are on vacation and it was the only one I could get my butt
in gear to schedule!  :)

If you remember, I got this awesome score of a desk for $19.99.
It was a beast. Solid heavy old desk. Since it had such a nice style and was antique
I thought I would stay in those lines and keep the theme the same.

As you can see the top has some nice little burn marks in it and you can see it was nicely loved.
I didn't want to get rid of that character, so I just gave it enough sanding to get through
the stain and leave the marks. I then gave it a nice stain just on the top.

Then I gave it a nice coat of white chalk paint and then when that was dry went over it
with my homemade apricot butter chalk paint.

Then here is where the magic happened. I wanted a vintage graphic for the top and
I went over to Karen at THE GRAPHICS FAIRY and found
not one graphic but TWO. One was a spectacle graphic and the other
was an old advertisement for  an optometrist. I fell in love....:)
SO I used my freezer paper transfer that you all know I love found HERE and
got to work.

When it was dry I distressed it and waxed it and gave it a nice patina
to match the top.

I am so happy how it turned out. I hope you like it too..:)
Have a BEAUTIFUL day.
