French Night stand

OOOHH LA LA!!
I have been trying to get back in the saddle again (furniture wise)
since we got back from vacation last week, but I just wasn't FEELING it you know?
Then Tuesday, all the kids were away and so was the hubby so I had a chance to go do some leisurely thrifting...You know..no stopwatch, gotta be here, or kids whining...."are you done yet"
a whole 2 hours to myself...ahhh...and what did I find????

This BABY...She had good bone structure, she just needed a little BEAUTIFICATION! :o

The first thing I started doing, since I decided I didn't want to mess with her chippy paint; was to start outlining the old detail that had been covered up over the years of paint.

Then I thought, the top needs some UUUMMPHHH!!
So I free handed a little scrolly thing on top..(I free hand a lot of stuff, but even I was scared on this one)  But I ended up loving it and I knew I was going to be distressing it so it didn't have to be PERFECT....Then I just FRENCHED it up a little with some cute little French words..

Took it outside and distressed the top a little more and the drawers and fell in FRENCHY love...

I thought it just went PERFECT with the cute little dress form that I also found that day and the antique shoe forms....FRENCH heaven..
I hope you enjoyed...
Good to be back on my horse....
Have a BEAUTIFUL day!!!
