Welcome back my Beauties!
I feel like it has been so long!
I have still been working like crazy on makeovers,
but spending more time just getting things into the booth and not having time to show you the befores and afters.
(If you follow me on instagram stories you can see what I am up to when I don't have a chance to blog about it)
I know I am not the only one that felt like January was 4 months long, and now February is feeling like its about 2 weeks long.
One of the things I did get a chance to photograph was this old outdated orange yellow nightstand.
I loved the bones of it but the color just wasn't doing it for me.

In order to get started on this, I decided to go with a two tone finish.
I cleaned the piece up and got to work.
For the drawer fronts I took off the old hardware and used General Finishes Gray gel stain in two coats to give the fronts a nice light gray color.
When they were dry I used their Gel coat to seal and protect.
For the base I decided to mix up a custom color.
I used one to one ratio
and General Finishes Emerald green for a deep green blue color.
I love how it turned out and how deep the color was.
It feels eclectic but with a little nautical color too.
I grabbed some Vintage lattice brass knobs from my collection to add another layer of fun to the piece.
I love how easy it was to transform it from outdated to
Eclectic!
The blue playing off the brass and the gray.
I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.
I am so happy to be back with you guys.
I already photographed two other pieces this same day so hopefully I will be able to show you more soon.
Until then,
Have a BEAUTIFUL day!
