Hand painted Dogwood dresser

I have been so excited about this dresser. It was another one of those, "you don't know what you are gonna do with it until you start" types of projects.

We have had this dresser forever and it served its purpose, but now it needed a new purpose...a repurpose!

So I started by priming and painting in one of my favorite colors, steeple gray.

When it was done it looked like this. Cute, but I wanted it to have more UMPH!

I love the Dogwood tree and have done a couple paintings of them. So I thought what if I do a big version. So I started painting.

and painting and then distressing.

Until it looked like this. I love how it turned out. I know I have heard other fellow bloggers say they don't like to
do different things to furniture because it makes it hard to sell. But painting my furniture with my paintings
makes me SOOO happy, that it doesn't bother me that it takes a while to sell these items. I know that when they
do sell they go to just the right person. Where the personality matches the furniture.

I hope someone else will enjoy her as much as I enjoyed painting her. I hope you all have a BEAUTIFUL day!!
