Beautiful Blue and Copper Satin and Metallic Enamel Dresser Makeover

before and after navy blue and copper dresser roadside rescue dumpster dive makeover

Welcome back my Beauties.
I am back finally with another makeover.
Today I bring this Beautiful Blue and Copper Satin and Metallic Enamel Dresser Makeover.
You can see from the first picture what I was working with.
It was a free dresser my husband lovingly picked up for me on the side of the road. (bring me free furniture over jewelry any day!)

In order to turn this roadside rescue into a radiant eclectic beauty I had to start with some fun paint.
I decided to go with Deco Art New Satin Enamel paint in Denim.
Its a nice deep rich navy blue.
After I lightly sanded the whole dresser and wiped it down. I gave the dresser two coats.

When the paint dried I used Americana Decor Tile Stencil
and the DecoArt Metallic paint in Old Gold (which looks like a light copper color)
I used a large wax brush to apply it to give it a bit of a brushed metal effect!
I also painted the knobs with paint.

I am loving how the combination of the blue and copper worked with the stencil on this piece.

I love how it transformed the piece from blah and beat up to
eclectic and exciting!

I hope to be back soon with more makeovers!
I have been painting like crazy and photographing,
just haven't had the time to write them all up.
So hang in there, and until next time;
Have a BEAUTIFUL day!
