Table and Chair Makeover and One year Anniversary for Caledonia Vintage Marketplace

 Good Morning my Beauties.
Its CRAZY time here again at the ART IS BEAUTY home
thanks to spring sports and the finally NICE spring weather
making people shop and buy furniture.

Its been so busy, that I didn't even have time to take pictures of the BEFORE on this table
and chair set I just redid!
I had purchased this gorgeous Designer fabric at Goodwill for 2 bucks.
I had been saving it waiting to use it with the perfect project.
Well this table was it.
I grabbed it at a 50% off sale at the thrift store.
I didn't have time to take a picture for the before because my booth at Changing Thymes was
decimated....WHICH is  GREAT ! But that meant I was in over drive working on furniture
I had to sand the top of the table and bring it down to the bare wood.
I then stained it and when it was dry I used a stencil along the same lines of the fabric to paint on a runner.

after the stenciled runner was dry. I lightly sanded and distressed it
and then Poly'd the whole top.
I think it was the perfect compliment to the fabric I used on the chairs.

Now, not to mention the filling of the 2 booths at Changing Thymes
but it is also the 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY of the Opening of the store
I can't believe that just a year ago it looked like the above.
Now if you could see the place...which I really think you should...:)
it is bustling with the most beautiful vingettes
and furniture you have ever seen.
I love to go in just to feel like I am sitting in a magazine..:)
Here was a picture of my booth....that I am now going into fill because my KINDEL
chest of drawers just sold...and I have to be ready for that anniversary SALE!
9968 Cherry Valley Ave., Caledonia, Michigan 49316
The anniversary celebration begins when the store opens on Friday, May 2nd. We will have sales and refreshments beginning at 10:00am. The sales will continue on Saturday, May 3rd as well. The outdoor market will take place on Saturday from 10:00am until 5:00pm. The store hours for both days are 10-7.
 So there you have it...
If you see me running around like a chicken with its head cut off..
or if I have fallen asleep in my booth...
please just gently prod me to wake up..
AND GET BACK TO WORK! :)

Now off I go....
Go make someones day BEAUTIFUL!

I always forget how fun it is to start a new space..

Changing Thymes II Grand Opening Booth Reveal

Good Morning my Beauties!
WHEW!! It has been a busy couple of weeks...
For all of you that follow on Facebook, You know that this is what has
been taking up most of my time.  Getting Ready for a second store and
a new booth from Scratch!.

This my friends is the BEFORE. I am truly amazed at our owner! Jodi is an amazing
artist and how she could see this in her mind turning our exactly as she had thought
always blows us away.  I had faith in her vision and I am so GLAD that I followed her over to the second store.
She has worked so hard all for us.
I was also blown away that she now supports 250 families.
She and her husband are amazing people.
We are her family...
They have just given us and even bigger canvas on which to create our dreams!

Here is the progression of my booth..
I painted my floor and did a nice Moroccan stencil.
When it was dry I put a coat of floor poly to protect it.
Then the fun part...Drilling into cement...
We used old fencing and doors to build my walls.

This for me is always the fun part...
I got to put up my chalkboard sign and
start to fill the booth and decorate.

Here it is starting to get filled...

and here was another momentous  moment....The Hanging of the signs!
Changing Thymes....second location!!
2900 Wilson Ave..
Grandville Michigan 49418

Can you even believe...This started and a giant open warehouse...in a matter of weeks...!

If you are ever in Grandville Michigan...Pretty much plan on spending your weekend here..
With the two stores within half a mile from each other..its pretty much like going to IKEA..
Its a day trip!
Over 250 vendors...!!
Thank you all who have supported me along the way..
who have bought my stuff and supported my dream.
I love you all!
Have a BEAUTIFUL DAY!!

New Booth Reveal at Changing Thymes

What a whirlwind week it has been. All because of a phone call last week telling
me I was getting a Main Floor space at CHANGING THYMES.
Well luckily I had lots of CRAP...errrr I mean STUFF in my garage ready to go..

So being myself I did things BACKWARDS...I filled my space..not wanting to loose
any time on making my rent..and Then HUBBY and I built my walls...That was fun...NOT..
No the walls did not look like this when I put them up. Of course again;..backwards!!!..I had gotten bits and pieces to build my walls so they were all different colors and textures.

So Once they were up and built I went back and gave them a couple coats of a rich yellow color.
It really helps on those gray days here in Michigan when we have no sun; to make the space feel bright. Since doing all the above wasn't enough, I whipped out my Royal Designs Stencil and
Used them on the walls to try and bring my Peg board and chip board together.

I really love how it gives the wall and my booth its own distinct feel.
who says peg board can't be BEAUTIFUL...:)

I have to laugh too..because the two chairs and the blue French Provincial table sold before I could even get back to put my walls up...(not that I am complaining). So I have in 1 week rearranged my booth 3 times already...:)
I think I may need a nap..
I really hope you all have a BEAUTIFUL day.!!
