Apothecary Cabinet Makeover Pottery Barn Style

This post is a sponsored post or  uses affiliate links to help you find the products I trust and love

Good Day my BEAUTIES!
I am finally back with a new post!
It was a long time coming.
After getting ready for spring break and then the drive there and back and
then the back to the grind schedule of school and sports;
I had to take some time and just focus on the family.
But things have slowly settled back into a somewhat insane (normal) schedule
so I can get back to business.
 I bought this cabinet a few months back and just loved the style of it.
It I am sure was originally part of a hutch or something
but this was all I bought. Its almost 5 feet tall. I can't imagine setting on top of something. :)

Well Its also Themed furniture Makeover week
and this Months theme was Pottery Barn.
I was racking my brain on what to do when I came across this cabinet from
Pottery Barn online.
 Amelia Cabinet by Pottery Barn
I loved the dusty blue color and the distressing of it.
I decided this would be my inspiration for this piece.
I created a custom gray blue and got to painting.
I wanted to leave the inside wood to make it POP a little more and keep some of the
authentic vintage style.
When it was dry I distressed it, waxed it and buffed it, giving it that aged finished.

I love how it turned out and I have to tell you, if we hadn't been so crazy around here
the past few weeks I might have kept it :)

It really did make a nice piece for all my collections. :)
Oh well, Now someone else has a chance to buy it and use it.
Be sure to stop over and see what my friends have been inspired by as well!
Until Next time;
Go make someones day Beautiful!

"all is calm" Pottery Barn Inspired sign made from Free Door

Good Morning my BEAUTIES! Don't shoot me, but I have already been working on
Christmas Projects. I know its early, but having a booth that I need to stock, this is one of the times where
I HAVE to be ahead of schedule.
One of the Christmas Items I worked on was this sign.
I have been a sign making machine for Christmas stuff.

You remember I have a ton of free cupboards in my shed, so whenever I need to make a sign,
I just run out to my shed. When I saw this square door I knew exactly what I wanted to make.
My inspiration was this Pillow from Pottery Barn
I love that fact that it has a chalkboard look to it.
I painted my cupboard with chalk board paint and painted the edges with a metallic craft paint,
to give it that festive feel.

Then I used my silhouette and just made up my own little "all is calm all is bright"
and instead of vinyl which I had run out of , I used some carstock that I had laying around.
Its a bit more of a pain to weed out the letters but its nice because you can use it a couple of times.

I just painted the stencil in with white acrylic craft paint and made my own little doodles around the edges...
I went FREESTYLE on that part.

and there you have it.. One sign down, about 500 to go..:)
I hope you enjoyed this Pottery Barn inspired free sign.
Until next time;
Have a BEAUTIFUL day!
