knock off coffee table

This was a great idea I had gotten from the website, http://knockoffdecor.com/

I walked into my local thrift store and this baby was waiting for me once again for 4.99...It must be my magic number..:) I was going to sell it but the hubby fell in love and it now sits in the family room in the basement. Since I do not own one of those fancy die cutting machines, I had to paint the numbers on by hand. I finished with a satin varnish and she is good to go.

Hi, great stuff! I redo furniture too! http://thedecorativepaintbrush.blogspot.com and I LOVE finding people who have the same addictions (um cough) I mean passions as I do! LOL! It's so much fun taking something fugly and turning into something amazing isn't it! I'm following you on FB now. Can't wait to see your next piece. BTW, did you just free hand your numbers or where did you get them? I've been wanting to do something like this on one of my pieces :D Tootles!

Hi Mary, Thanks for you comments...:) It is an addiction isn't it? I did free hand the numbers but what I did was just printed off a bunch of different font types and sizes from my word processor. Then I kind of laid the paper down on the top and just traced with a pencil to leave a very small indent on the table..(you could see if a light was shining sideways at the table) then free hand stenciled in the line...I didn't want it to look to perfect.....Thanks for following me. I can't wait to check out your blog.

Nice. I have some painted furniture on my blog, however, I do have "one of those fancy cutting machines." ;)
I will be posting a similar table with a twist. Stay tuned....
