Good Day my BEAUTIES!
I am finally back with a new post!
It was a long time coming.
After getting ready for spring break and then the drive there and back and
then the back to the grind schedule of school and sports;
I had to take some time and just focus on the family.
But things have slowly settled back into a somewhat insane (normal) schedule
so I can get back to business.
I bought this cabinet a few months back and just loved the style of it.
It I am sure was originally part of a hutch or something
but this was all I bought. Its almost 5 feet tall. I can't imagine setting on top of something. :)
Well Its also Themed furniture Makeover week
and this Months theme was Pottery Barn.
I was racking my brain on what to do when I came across this cabinet from
Pottery Barn online.
Amelia Cabinet by Pottery Barn
I loved the dusty blue color and the distressing of it.
I decided this would be my inspiration for this piece.
I loved the dusty blue color and the distressing of it.
I decided this would be my inspiration for this piece.
I created a custom gray blue and got to painting.
I wanted to leave the inside wood to make it POP a little more and keep some of the
authentic vintage style.
When it was dry I distressed it, waxed it and buffed it, giving it that aged finished.
I love how it turned out and I have to tell you, if we hadn't been so crazy around here
the past few weeks I might have kept it :)
It really did make a nice piece for all my collections. :)
Oh well, Now someone else has a chance to buy it and use it.
Be sure to stop over and see what my friends have been inspired by as well!
Until Next time;
Go make someones day Beautiful!
