Once the paint had dried I decided to have some fun.
I loved the natural and subtle colors of the Redesign by Prima Transfer in FERN WOODS.
It was such a pretty natural graphic.
I added it to the top drawers and then used my General finishes top coat to seal it.
The hardware had all still been with the piece and just needed some prettying up with some GOLD SPRAY PAINT.
Welcome back my BEAUTIES!
I am so excited to show you the latest makeover!
I picked up this little beauty at the thrift shop for $8
because one of the drawers was stuck shut and the other one was falling apart.
I knew I could fix it with a little help from my favorite tool and got to work on it right away.
First I took out the drawers that were NOT stuck and since it had openings the the drawer that was I just worked my way around in there and popped it loose.
You see the box to the drawer had partially fallen apart and gave way, keeping it from being able to slide out.
Once I got it out I just gave it a few shots with my
Ryobi Air Nailer (my favorite tool by the way)
and that drawer was good as new!
Once I had it all back together I could get moving.
I sanded the whole piece down since it had some deep groves and who knows what caked to it in spots.
Then I used a damp cloth to clean off all the sanding residue.
Once that was done I could start painting.
I have never used the color BASIL General Finishes Milk Paint before and thought it would be the perfect color for this piece.

You can see here how pretty the gold hardware played off the fern transfer.
I thought about doing all the drawer fronts but wanted to keep that subtle look of the transfer with the basil paint and gold hardware.
I just love how it all came together.
Something that was broken and beat up,
now has a new lease on life!
I hope you enjoyed this latest makeover!
I am having so much fun doing them lately!
I think part of it is trying to get things done before the snow flies
and the Christmas Season is upon us!
Hopefully I will keep on moving with these and have a new one for you next week!
Until then, have a Beautiful day!
