blechhhhh to Beautiful chandelier

Here is my new to me, beautiful chandelier!!!

But this is how she started out...a horrid mix of brass and wood....BLECHHHH!!

But a beautiful $4.00...can't beat that...(I also forgot to take a picture of the glass globes that came with, but they were U. G. L. Y. so it's probably better that I didn't) :)

So first I stuffed paper into all the sockets so I would not get paint in them.

Then I primed her.

Then I sprayed her with Rust-Oleums oil rubbed bronze spray..(you will see in the pic that the hammered copper is there, I tried that and it was just to BRIGHT)

So here is the hubby taking down the old bulky chandelier...which I loved at its time, but  I wanted to go with a little more classic style.

Here she is in all her glory...Isn't she BEAUTIFUL????
I just love it hanging over my table. I still can't decide if I want to get some glass globes for her or not.
What do you guys think?
Thanks for stopping by, and have a BEAUTIFUL day!!!

I LOVE IT just the way it is....but you could go with beautiful shades...I tend to lean away from globes.....depends what look your going for I guess. In the mean time it looks super great the way it is!

I love how it turned out! It is amazing how changing the light fixture in a room can change the whole look!
