Drum Table Makeover

Good Morning my Beauties.
I am sure you, like me have quite the busy week ahead.
I am trying to get a bunch of projects FINISHED  before the kids are home for the next 5 days.
One of them was this cute little drum table.

This drum table was one of my very first painting projects that I did when I first started blogging.
It had been in our living room; but when I picked up that fabulous cedar chest yesterday
I knew this piece had to go. (not enough room to keep EVERYTHING) :)

I had picked this table up at goodwill a couple years back. The first time around I had painted it all blue. Over time the top had gotten scratched and I kind of was getting bored with the single color.
So I slapped on some CeCe Caldwells Virginia Chestnut just on the top.
When it was dry I used the clear wax and buffed it up to a great shine.

I love how little bits of blue poke through.

What a difference just changing the top color can make.
I hope you guys have a wonderful Turkey day, and get to spend lots of
time with family and friends.
I myself am so THANKFUL for all of you! I still am in disbelief that
you all come by just to read and look at what I am doing.
You are a blessing to my life and I THANK YOU so much!
Happy Thanksgiving and have a
BEAUTIFUL day!

Awesome top! I thought for a moment it was stained. I'll have to try that color!

So pretty! Much better than all one color. I have done some pieces with paint and a stained top, but not painted like this. Will have to try it!

I've been using CeCe chalk paint (more antique white but also Turquoise) - love it, beautiful waxed. Your table looks wonderful. Happy Thanksgiving.
