Christmas Mantle 2012

Good Morning my Beauties. Well we finally got a little bit of sun
here yesterday and was able to get a better picture of my Christmas mantle and
even some of our tree.
I don't like my Mantle to be too matchy matchy as you can see. I have never been one of those need one of each thing on each side. I like to just used things that match in height to give it a congruity.
So I have an old vintage Christmas tree sitting in my Mercury glass bowl I made last year.
(you can see that HERE)
and My ornament tree with my Vintage ornaments hanging on it.
Behind my comfort and joy sign is an Old window that has also been sprayed with
the Mirror spray.. (I love the vintage feel, what can I say.:))

The main part of the mantle is this "comfort and Joy" sign I made.
You can see that post HERE
Around it I have just used things I have COLLECTED through out the year.
I have my insulator that I sprayed with my Krylon mirror spray to give it a mercury glass feel.
I have my old muffin tin filled with vintage ornaments.

While I am at it I thought I would show you our tree. I got my Pencil tree a couple of years ago and I just love it. It allows us to keep the furniture in the living room with the addition of the tree.
When we had our old one we always had to take out a chair.

I am a very sentimental person and certain things have to go on my tree.
My mom made these ornaments years ago and when her and my Dad started to go to Florida in the winter she knew she wouldn't be bringing her tree. So she gave me the "lady ornaments" as my kids call them. They are a must on my tree along with the kids baby ornaments.
This year was the addition of my sheet music garland that I made.

Well that's all folks. I have other trees and another Mantle in the den but it has been nearly impossible to get the lighting right in that room. So I guess I will just keep trying.
Until then....Have a BEAUTIFUL day~!

Oh, Karin! It's beautiful!!!!! Your mantle is so pretty with the sign and ornaments! And your tree! Spectacular!! So, so pretty! Where'd you find the pencil tree? I could totally use on of those for our living room because we have to take a chair out too.

You're mantle and tree both look great! I love the sign and the sheet music garland that you made. I have a wreath I'm thinking about making for my mantle and an old window I've been wanting to use too. I definitely like the look after seeing this. I really love how everything turned out! ~ Jamie

So pretty. I love that you have the ornaments made by your mom, they are lovely, and anything made by ones mother is a treasure.
