Good Morning my BEAUTIES!
It feels like its been forever since I have posted any makeovers for you guys.
I think the crazy holiday season is finally starting to come to a calm...JUST IN TIME, for the next crazy season to start..:)
Anyway...I have been dying to try the new COLOR OF THE YEAR.
Its not a color I normally would try but in small doses I really think it can add a punch to an
otherwise neutral room.
I had this VERY OLD...VERY VINTAGE....VERY 70's..Round end table.
I thought the combination of the style along with the color would really bring this table back from RETRO heaven!
I mixed up a custom color using a mixture of CeCe Caldwells Paints. I can't remember the second, but the base for the orchid was the New Orleans Purple. (I can't remember because I actually painted this and finished it BEFORE CHRISTMAS, and my brain is mush now)
For the top I used a thin coat of the Slate. I wanted to let some of the old wood show through.
In order to make it feel a little more FRENCHY and FUN I wanted to add a fun Graphic to the top.
I used my Silhouette to cut out this fun custom Graphic
I then just used Regular acrylic craft paint to paint on my stencil
Once it was dry I distressed the whole thing and waxed and buffed it to the
great shabby finish.

To add just a little more class I decided to put a little of the CeCes metallic wax around
the edge and in some of the deeper grooves...
So what do you think of Pantones Color of the Year?
Are you a fan or not?
Like I said..In small doses and think it adds a fun
punch of color to a room.
Until next time;
Have a BEAUTIFUL day!
