Before and After Persian blue library table makeover

Welcome back my Beauties!
I am in Beast mode over here since the weather has finally decided to be nice. 

I have been plowing through my stash of furniture and this little beauty that has been sitting for quite a few months finally got her makeover!
Come check out the Before and After of this Persian blue Library Table.

I picked this table up at the local thrift shop.

I loved the lines and the appliques on her but that top was in some serious distress.

I knew it was gonna take some work so I pulled out my arsenal and got to work.

First thing I did was grab my Orbital Sander.

I used 2 different grits to get the old finish off and take care of the gouges.

When I was done I wiped it down with some tack cloth and got ready to stain.

I chose minwax's Dark Walnut stain for the top.

I really wanted the grain and inlay to stand out and I knew this would do the trick.

What a difference already!

Once the stain was dry I just used some Wipe on Poly in satin to seal it.

Now it was time to start on the base. To play off the dark top,

I went with General Finishes Persian Blue paint

Can you believe the difference!

I mean, LOOK at the top!
I am in LOVE!!!

I can't believe I waited so long to make her over.

I just love how it turned out.

This beauty is headed to my booth and hopefully soon be enjoying her new life in someone elses home!
