I picked up this cart at the local thrift store for $3
I knew it wasn't much to look at with its old outdated finish
but any time I see anything with those fun little wheels, I think about how I can transform it into a fun little bar cart.
I cleaned the whole thing off and lightly sanded the piece
and got ready to paint.
As usual I couldn't just go with a color right out of the can.
I decided to mix up a custom color using
I gave the whole piece a couple coats but decided it need a little
GLAM so I went through my stencils to decide what I wanted to do.
I grabbed one of my HOME DECOR STENCILS
and some GOLD CRAFT PAINT
stenciled right down the middle of the cart.
I sealed the piece with some General Finishes Flat Topcoat
and it was good to go.
I loved how regal the Gold paint played off the custom blue!
I sealed it with some
I think you will agree, it looks like a totally different piece.
Even though I have been doing this for a long time I always worry and wonder if other people will like when I go a little fun and funky with my makeovers,
But I am happy to say that this baby sold the day after I brought it into the booth.
So someone out there like the transformation as well!
I hope you enjoyed this latest makeover.
The weather here has FINALLY started to behave just a bit so I can get outside and get some of my bigger projects done, before we get into the crazy graduation preparations for my daughter.
I hope to be back soon with another fun makeover.
Until then;
Have a BEAUTIFUL day!
