NEW GRAY DESK

Here is a picture of the desk I got for a steal before. She is not much to look at. She had seen her day; there were scratches and gum and nail polish on her. So I got to work.

I got to priming and priming....and priming...:)

It was when I was priming her, that I decided on her color. I still had not decided, but when I saw her with that primer gray, I thought; this looks really cool and classy.

So I went and got the Gray paint and started painting, and painting, and painting...:)

Then I sprayed and lacquered the handles a satin black; and distressed the desk. I just love how classy she turned out. Have a BEAUTIFUL day!!!

Gorgeous little piece ... love the grey ... they often pick their own colours, don't they.

Love your gray paint color!
What brand and color are you using?

I have used Pratt and Lambert's 'Gravel' (French-y city grey), and 'Contemplation' (a bluer country French blue).

Yours posts inspire me daily. Thank you!

Jeffrey, Its Rustoleum brand. I am not sure on which Gray, I will have to take a walk out to the shed. Its the only one that comes in the satin, at our store. Thanks so much for your kind words, and I am now following your blog...Great stuff!!

Your desk is lovely! Love how you stress about priming! I'm starting to take more and more care to do it, but I get alittle ahead of myself some time. (Too anxious to see the lovely after shot, I guess)
