I got this baby at my favorite store, GOODWILL for $9.99. I always love to see the look on peoples faces when they see you buying something this ugly...(poor child doesn't have any taste) ...Little do they know....
First I sanded her down and primed her, and when she was dry I gave her a couple coats of antique white.
She was looking better already, but I wanted to jazz her up, so I grabbed a Martha Stewart stencil and measured out the middle of my table. I used my gray/blue paint that I mixed up myself and started rolling...I wanted to add a little more Jazz so I lightly rolled around the edge. First I sanded her down and primed her, and when she was dry I gave her a couple coats of antique white.
When she was dry I sanded her down lightly and distressed her just a little. She already had a natural distress....:) Then I gave her a dark walnut glaze.
I just love how she turned out and how much prettier she is! I hope you all have a BEAUTIFUL day!

I love shopping for great finds at Goodwill too! You really brought out the beauty of this piece!
Nice! Love it. I just got a similar table, and sorry to play "Can You Top This", but I got it at a yard sale for $1. I'll let you know what I do with it.
