dumpster dive/vintage suitcase....made BEAUTIFUL ...SUITCASE TABLE

So I have been saving this post for a while. With the nice weather, I just had to show you my BEACH coffee table first..:) But now I can show you this little number that I teased you with a few weeks ago.

A few months ago, my Father in law, dumpster dove for this little baby...
He said it used to be for a phonograph....you know; those things that used to play records....:)

Remember these two vintage suitcases that I had gotten at Goodwill.

WELL....Much like Chocolate and Peanut butter...these two were meant to be together.  I had the pieces separately sitting in the garage trying to decide what to do when I had the ole "head slap"
and went.......DANG, I can finally make one of those suitcase tables....

So I painted and distress the bottom and took 4 wood screws and screwed them to the base.

and here she is...sitting pretty.

I think she makes a perfect storage area for extra linens or guest towels.

Here she is in my booth waiting patiently for someone to take her home.

I hope you all have a BEAUTIFUL day.

You found those at Goodwill?!? SCORE!! Grandville, huh? My sister just moved to Holland, I'm hoping to be out there a lot this summer!! If it weren't for the darn housing market me and my hubby would've put our house on the market and moved out there by now. It's such a beautiful area! :)
