Good Monday Morning my BEAUTIES!
I hope the weekend was good to you.
We had a busy one, of course!
Whats new?
Well I did have time to get a couple projects done
so I thought I would show you.
Remember this OLE THING?
I had gotten it at the VERY BEGINNING of summer.
When we were camping...:)
It had to ride home in the camper......Hubby was thrilled....LOL
He really should have been since it was going to be his.
I have been on a mission to get rid of any particle board type of furniture in the house
and he had a sauder dresser that we had bought when we first bought our house.
THIS was its replacement.
$12 at a garage sale! How could I say no.
I finally got around to it and started by completely sanding the top down using my orbital sander to the bare wood.
I wanted to keep it masculine so I thought I would keeps some of the wood showing (you know to MAN it up..:))
I even got to move some of the handles around to keep those masculine looking pulls.
I then found two small brass pulls for the two top small drawers.
Hubby is more than Happy now. He loves his new to him dresser.
JUST LIKE I TOLD HIM HE WOULD....
I don't know why he never believes me in the first place. LOL
I hope you enjoyed this post; and I hope you have a
BEAUTIFUL day!.

What a great piece, youve done a fantastic job, cant wait to get started on one of my own
You never cease to amaze me! I So want to come thrift in MI, but I'm pretty sure the cost of gas from Chi-burbs to MI would kinda negate the great prices ;-(
Mine is making good progress in the never doubt catagory when it comes to furniture these days. I love it, I'm pinning it. Would you share your color and brand of stain, that's my favorite part.

This is Really beautiful!!
classic! i love the dark top- it's gorgeous!
Beautiful! I love the classic combination of dark wood and clean white. You're incredibly talented :) I was wondering about sanding - whenever I've tried using a palm sander like the one it looks like you're using in the photo, I end up scratching the piece. Any tips on what I'm doing wrong?
This is so pretty, you can't ever go wrong with a stained top and white bottom.
WOW! What a difference. Great job on the dresser, it's gorgeous!
