Gourmet Table and Chair Set

I hope you are all having a great day so far.
I wanted to show you a bigger project that I have been working on
and finally finished.

I got this table at Goodwill for $15
It was solid and sturdy, but it had some surface flaws.

So I sanded the heck out of the top and got those smoothed down.

I then grabbed my CeCe Caldwells paint in brown and yellow.
I painted the top with the deep brown
and the legs and base with the California gold.

I then grabbed the two chairs that I had gotten at goodwill for $4.99 each.

I recovered the seats and painted the chairs to match the base of the table.

The fun part came when I finally got to use my Silhouette.
I made a stencil that said "gourmet" and painted it on the top before I waxed and buffed it.

I love how the deep chocolate colored paint makes the top look like a dark stain.

I am really happy with how this turned out, and its another piece that I wish I could
keep in my house!  :)
I hope you all have a BEAUTIFUL day!

Girl! You are a painting machine! You are just busting stuff out left and right. Slow down! You're making the rest of us look bad! LOL!!!!! Looks fantastic! said...

Beautifully done. Your Goodwill must be a lot better than the ones around me. That table would have been at least $45 and the chairs $25. I'll just have to keep looking!

You did a beautiful job with this table and chairs, and what a great price at which you found them--well done! I recently got a little veneer console, and the original plan was to stain the top a dark color and paint out the bottom a lighter color, but the veneer was too thin to sand and stain, so I painted it a rich chocolate brown instead, and I am loving it! Hope to have it done soon, but I got all thinking I would be artsy and decided to go crazy with the door paint, and after I did the first one realized it was all wrong, so have to start over with primer on that one and do it again! I don't always know if I will like it until I see it on the furniture! But it should be ready pretty soon.

Well your hard work has really paid off, and what a great transformation you've done. I'm surprise I would of thought it was stained! The work you put in to it shows, so very pretty! Thanks for sharing your inspiration with Sunday’s Best – you helped make the party a success!

WOW! That is amazing, what a find! You must have a lot of patience to sand the entire table, with the detail on the legs and all.
Great work!!!!
