Vintage French Cabinet using T-shirt iron on Paper

Good Monday Morning my Beauties..
I am hoping (fingers crossed that my kids do not have another snow day today)
I have lots and lots of things I need to be doing to be getting ready for the new booth in a month and peeling children off of the ceiling was not included in the plan..LOL!!
During the typical busy weekend I was able to quick...and I mean QUICK ..get this project in my
TO DO pile done!

I picked up the little cabinet about 6 months ago and had as usual grand plans...to do.....SOMETHING....:)  I never know what....just something...
Well Hubby found it in the garage and said...what the heck is this...therefore, bringing it back to the
surface of my pile..LOL!

So on Saturday, while he was busy..I decided to do it..
I slapped on some of CeCe Caldwells Golden yellow paint and let it dry..

I then went to my favorite website THE GRAPHICS FAIRY and grabbed
this sweet French graphic.
I printed it off on regular everyday T-shirt iron on transfer paper
Making sure the image is reversed because then it will be right side when its flipped over and ironed on.
I then heated up my iron (which gets more used for my kids craft projects and my projects than the actual ironing of clothes :))

and here she is in all her glory...I waxed the cabinet with some dark wax and scraped it and scratched it to give it that really old worn look.

I just love how it totally changed the outdated 80's cabinet into a cute classic little French cabinet..
all with a little paint and an iron on..
I hope you enjoyed this little Monday morning project,
and I hope you have a BEAUTIFUL day.

Your cabinet looks great! Yet another way to use those iron-on transfers--a good idea.

Do I have this right, you ironed on that design? How cool is that! Regular printer?

Wonderful result and no expensive Artist transfer paper. Yay! I do have a question: Irons are for clothes?

So you ironed on the transfer onto wood? I've used transfers for fabric but never wood as usually I don't have enough transfers on hand to waste one if it doesn't work out. (We live out from where I could get transfers in a hurry.) Love how your transfer looks faded and old. Quite the idea you had in mind?
Yeah, love this project. So glad you shared this little cupboard.
I have a small cupboard hubs made years ago, would like to redo it so we could maybe use it in our house somewhere. I used to have it in kitchen over stove in house in KY. Poor thing has been languishing in shed since then. You have so inspired me.
I'll be using my own home made chalk paint so sure hope it works out half as nicely as yours. Happy Week

Excellent project! I've used the iron method with laser printed paper but not the transfer paper! Looks great!

Your post had me in stitches...lol "peeling kids off of the ceiling"...so funny

Great re-do once again. Did you distress the image as well? It looks age worn authentic!:)
