Good Monday Morning my Beauties! Well Its official...
I have caught my kids CRUD. :(  Luckily
I had gotten this project I have been wanting to do done
before the wonderful virus set in.

I have a stock pile of old sheet music that I had gotten at a bag at a thrift shop for $1.
Some of its really old and I decided not to touch that stuff, but the rest is 70's and 80's classical.
So I thought I would use those to make my wreath. BUT I didn't have a wreath form. It hit me while
I was in my CRAP/CRAFT room that I have a bunch of old scratched Cd's in there.
They are round and sturdy and I thought an added bonus that a MUSIC wreath was going to be put on an old CD :)
(Bonus if you don't have sheet music you can go over to the Graphics Fairy and
she has vintage sheet music you can print off)

I started rolling my half sheets of sheet music and hot gluing them when they were rolled.
I then hot glued them to the CD working in a opposite pattern. (kinda like how you take the lug nuts off a tire..:))

I kept adding layers and then as I wanted it fuller I cut the half sheets in half again and made a middle smaller rolled section. When that was set I went over to the Graphics Fairy and got this cute little Vintage Angel

I added her to the middle using my hot glue gun and then used a piece of some silver sprigs that I had left over from Christmas Decorating.

My Christmas Sheet music wreath now hangs on my front door.

I love the adorable little greeting that she is to people coming into our home.
Well, thats all I have for today..Hopefully by the time you read this
I am on my way to feeling MUCH better.
I hope you all have a BEAUTIFUL day!

Inspired by Chocolate, French Parlor Table Makeover

Welcome back my Beauties!
Today is the day for another DIY Furniture Girls
Themed Makeover.
This months THEME is CHOCOLATE.
How I DO LOVE ME SOME CHOCOLATE!

This was the table I started with.
It was less than beautiful.
It had been beaten up pretty bad but I love the simple little shape of it.

Since I knew I was going to be staining the top a Rich Chocolate color I needed to get the old finish off.
I used my Rockwell orbital sander to make quick work of it.
The finish was so old it only took about 30 seconds for all of the finish to come off.

Once I had the old finish off and it was clean I could start staining it.
I started making over the top by using Repurposed Stain in Cast Iron Black

While the top was drying I painted the base using Americana Maxx Gloss in Melon

Now that the top was dry I could start transferring my graphic to the top.
I grabbed some carbon paper   and started tracing my French Chocolate graphic from the Graphics Fairy. After tracing I used white acrylic paint to paint on my lettering.
After a little distressing I sealed the top with some General finishes Satin finish and she looked good enough to eat!

She looks a bit different now doesn't she?

The hardest part of the makeover was NOT eating the Chocolate while I was photographing.

I hope you enjoyed this makeover and you will check out the rest of my DIY Furniture Girl Friends
Makeovers!
We would LOVE to hear what you think!

Vintage Valentines Box via Graphics Fairy

Good Morning my Beauties! Another Busy
weekend as usual around here but I was able to quick make a cute
little vintage valentines box.

I had this little box that was originally had ugly old green paint on it.
I gave it a coat of Traverse City Cherry from CeCe Caldwells; then it sat
for oh.....about 3 months..:)

Well Valentines is coming so what other way to jazz it up
but with a graphic from The Graphics Fairy. A cute little vintage girl.
I glued it down sanded around the edges a bit and then mod podged it.

It turned it into the cutest little vintage valentines box.

I hope you enjoyed this little tutorial and have a Beautiful Day!
