Simple and quick Cute Silhouette Easter Bunny art

 Sorry FOLKS, this is a REPLAY week.
So here is a blast from the PAST!
I have plenty to share, Just not plenty of TIME!
So since Easter is around the corner I thought I would show you a quick and easy repurposing craft.

Good Monday Morning my Beauties! I hope you had a wonderful weekend.
I am busy busy busy, getting the new booth ready for the Grand Opening on Friday March 1st.
I am so excited not only for myself but for all the other NEW vendors coming into the store.
There are a ton of people starting out for the first time..living their creative dream.
Whats not exciting about that?!

Anywhoo..in order to start stocking up on more things I knew I had to get started on my smalls
for the booth. So I thought why not make some Easter stuff.
I had this old board that I got at Goodwill.

I painted over it with my CeCe Caldwells paint.

I then went to my silhouette program and printed out some bunnies.
I used just plain old contact paper to transfer the cut outs to the board.
I then used 3 different colored craft paints to paint in the bunnies.

Here they are, cute little Bunnies, ready for Easter!

One project down, only about 500 more until I am ready.

Super Easy "HELLO" Spring Pallet Art

 Welcome back my Beauties!

Spring is right around the corner (even though we have snow in our forecast for later this week).

I am in a Spring Decor Mode so I thought I would show you one of the SIMPLEST ways to make some fun spring pallet art.

First of all, grab some pallets. 

(If you don't have pallets you can always buy boards from the home store,

but you all know how much I love to rescue free stuff)

Lay out your pieces how you want them and then screw some brackets in the back

I just used my cordless black and decker drill to screw in my supports.

 

Once that is done, flip it over and give it a light wash of paint.

I chose a fresh light blue.

When its dry I lightly sanded the whole thing to give it a distressed finish.

 

Here is where the super duper easy part comes in.

See that little wood cut out "hello".

Its from the dollar spot at Target.

It was $3

I was looking at it and literally said to myself

 "HELLO, this is awesome!"

 I threw that sucker in my cart and brought it home.

I grabbed my Ryobi Airstrike Nailer 

and popped a couple nails in it and it was good to go.

(if you don't have a nailer you could easily use some heavy duty glue or even use a regular hammer and nails)

Once secured to the pallet I gave the "hello" a quick little dry brushing to give it a little more interest and my "HELLO" spring pallet was ready for my mantle.

 I have to tell you, this was probably the EASIEST project I have ever done. It literally took me about

10 minutes not counting dry time.

I just love it on my mantle with my Easter bunny bunting from the same dollar spot at Target.

French Easter Art using "Americana Decor CHALKY finish" paint

Hitting Replay today and showing you

how you can make some fun French Easter Art!

I got to try out the NEW AMERICANA Decor Chalky Finish paint and was

itching to try it out.

I was wracking my brain on what I wanted to use it on when I remembered a bunch 

of craft boards a friend had me rescue from her garage. 

Once I saw it the first thing I thought of was EGG...and with EGG I thought EASTER...

so I got to work.

 

I grabbed my Americana Decor paint and mixed up a little custom paint.

I wanted a slight pink..not to much..so I didn't mix all the way.

I wanted it to look blended on the board.. I used the colors Camel and Lace.

I loved that it was PINK but not TOO pink.

When the paint was dry I used Americanas French script stencil for my background.

I used my stencil brush and the LACE chalky finish paint to stencil on my script.

I was in love already and was loving how the paint was working all together.

This is where it gets even more fun. I used my Silhouette to

cut out a BUNNY shape (you could also use carbon paper and a bunny picture and simply

transfer on and paint a bunny) 

I used Americanas Chalky finish "NEW LIFE" to stencil on the bunny

and the french words "JOYEUSES PAQUES" which in french means

HAPPY EASTER. 

I thought it went perfect with the french script stencil.

 

to finish it off, I paired it with my little ceramic Bunny Family that my 

Momma passed on down to me...

I loved looking at them every Easter on the mantle (even thought the big one wearing the guitar was one I found thrifting so it matched my 4 kids) 

and now my kids get to grow up seeing it on my mantle....THAT IS...if they or I don't break it..

But I figure if it made it through me and my 14 siblings....

IT SHOULD in theory...make it here!
